finally got with it.

give a girl a follow (:

Over the past few years it has been a struggle for me to take the weight off. I never played any type of sport in high school or anything like that, but I still played with friends or whomever. Also I have always gone to the gym but for some reason I was staying the same size, nothing was changing or I would even gain. I didn’t know what was going on. Last April I went out with a group of my friends for her birthday and after seeing the pictured of myself, I decided then and there to actually commit to not only exercising but eating as healthy as possible. It worked. I have lost almost 20 lbs. Gotta check the scale again, it’s been a while.. but the thing for me is, I was never that big of a girl. My heaviest was 130 and what you have to understand is that I’m only 5”3 and for year and years I was so insecure about my body and my boyfriend always had to listen about it.

So I changed how I was, not who I am. Until you actually commit you don’t even understand the difference it makes in your life. You feel amazing, when you wake up, AFTER a meal, just all the time. It’s amazing and I recommend everyone do it. I understand people are set in their ways but I’m also a big believer in doing things that scare you the most. For some people, comfort food is all they know but until you sit down and look up recipes of healthy, clean food and prepare it and cook it and have this amazing feeling of almost pride after it! I know this may be a little pushy and weird to most, but it’s how passionate I am about being the best person YOU can be. I want to inspire people to make the change, and it can be a challenge for most.. it for sure was to me, I come from a place where McDonalds is like a gathering spot for friends…… some have to ease into it and sooner or later you’ll wake up and not even crave that garbage. You will WANT to eat quinoa salads or a couple bananas!

I believe you truly do have to commit to both to loose weight, and feeling great and being healthy is the amazing benefit to that.

Hope I inspired someone! (:

One of they key components to getting fit is making sure your body is getting the rest it needs. It’s okay to go balls deep at the gym, but when you wake up the next morning and you feel like you can’t walk, don’t push it, take a day off, your body will thank you and it will prevent any small injuries that could cost you more time out of the gym. Also, try not to repeat the same workout routine every single day, simply because you’re going to get bored and work different muscles every so often.

It’s YOUR future, what will you decide to do with it?

It’s YOUR future, what will you decide to do with it?

I believe people should be living a healthy lifestyle as best to their abilities. Everyone is capable of achieving it. It is up to you to do the work and it is up to you to put as much effort into it as you are willing, the more work, the more results. Essentially, being the best YOU that YOU can be!

People who know me tend to think I’m crazy or just plain picky at what I eat and yes, hearing them say that drives me absolutely crazy! I’ve chosen to not eat certain things because it’s unhealthy and things our bodies were not meant to eat. Apparently to some people, they just cannot understand why.. I’m going to post a new page about the food choices I make on a day to day basis and why I do the things I do!

I really hope it helps you in your journey to become healthy and feel free to ask me any questions and I’ll do my best to answer them!!!! .. page will be posted very shortly.

Enjoy (:

Sorry I’ve been MIA for a bit followers! Still trying to get into the hang of things. I’ve been out of school for two years and going full tilt these past few months has proven to be a challenge for sure! Fully committed to keeping up with my baby site (: I have finally found someone to go to the gym with, and who will actually go and not bail on me, so thats great.

Now, I do not in any way believe in new years resolutions. I think if you want to do something, you dont wait until a new year? you do it NOW! that being said, back to school now after three weeks off, I have made it a personal nutrition goal to cut my carb intake in half! and so far so good. Things would be much easier if I were actually able to cook myself instead of the grease filled crap they serve in my residence.. but im managing! Fruit and veggies def dont need any sort of work so thats always an option for those who are in the predicament as I am!

Well good luck to everyone, stick with it. Dont fall back!

Back from vacation, finally settled into school although the work doesnt seem to want to stop pilling up on me, I’ve officially started training mode.. or what I like to say, BEAST MODE.

All throughout high school I never really played any sports and always regretted it, and this year when I decided to join track, they already started season - just my luck. So training for that for next year has started. Went for a run with my friend.. safe to say I need a new running buddy because I’m in better shape then well.. what she thought ;) so thats good.

Around my school they have paved running/biking paths that run along the road and some go don by the water and also through the wood (and the squirrels here are the size of large cats - not friendly either ) and thats where I’ve been going for runs lately. Thats all going to change when that white stuff starts falling from the sky too, and being in university everyone goes through those few “gotta start at the gym now that im in school” months.. and I’ll be tasting someone else’s sweat while i run on the treadmill .. -_-

Well just thought I’d keep you up to date on my life, new blog style.. I’m going to change the colours with the season! .. pumped.

New blog means I’m going to post new things like boring shit like this, and recipes i find that I like, and just a larger variety of healthy things, facts, and all that jazz :)

Hope you guys like it as much as I do!

It’s not just going to come to you, you gotta kick you own ass to get it.

My bum is definitely something I take pride in. Sure judge me. But I work my butt off for this butt! I always preach to girls, squats are your best friend, and they should be. It’s not only for the ass but because when you work on it, you are also working on the general area, so goodbye cellulite thighs.

Heres how to get the bum.

After I do 30mins of jogging/sprinting on the treadmill (yes, it does help.) I always go straight to the stair master of death. Usually I will be on there for not even 5mins and im dripping in sweat, doesn’t take much. There are two ways that work two different areas on the SMD, if you have your arms extended straight, with your back up right, you are working your thighs and toning the legs. If you place your forearms on the sides, back slanted, ass out.. take a guess what you’re working?

It’s the perfect dreadful machine to get the job done!

I also do 4 or 5 sets of:

  • 20 squats
  • 15 back kicks
  • 15 lunges
  • 30 sec wall sit

be creative, you don’t need an exact workout plan when it comes to getting that nice ass, make it fun, make it enjoyable, and switch it up!
